Cranberry Fruit Powder is made from the ripened fruits of Vaccinium macrocarpon Aiton (Fam. Ericaceae) after wet milling, drying, and pulverization into a fine powder. It contains not less than 0.6% of total proanthocyanidins, calculated as procyanidin A2 (C₃₀H₂₄O₁₂) on the dried basis. It also contains not less than 3.0% of total organic acids on the dried basis. The ratio of quinic acid to malic acid is not less than 1 and the ratio of quinic acid to citric acid is not less than 0.9. It might contain suitable added substances.
